TLJMakeup Bio
Thomas W. Lawson Jr. is a makeup artist from North Las Vegas, NV. Thomas grew up in the small town of Holly, MI where he did theater and learned what makeup was. During middle school, Thomas learned the art of makeup application, and soon become the assistant to all productions while in high school. Thomas W. Lawson Jr graduated from High School and went to Oakland Community College to learn how to become a better visual artist. While attending Oakland Community College, Thomas worked with many different elementary schools teaching after school programs in drawing & acting. Thomas transferred to Eastern Michigan University and made his passion of the arts in theater his major. While studying at Eastern Michigan University, Thomas worked for Mac, Shiseido, Estee Lauder, Clinique, Lancôme and Elizabeth Arden and Benefit Cosmetics. Thomas traveled around the country opening new stores as the head makeup artist for the east coast region. Thomas graduated college with 3 Bachelor's degrees from Eastern Michigan University in Theater Arts, Graphic Arts and Computer Technology. In 2003, Thomas moved to Las Vegas, NV to pursue his dreams in working in live theater. Thomas has worked for a few graphic art design firm locations all over Las Vegas. While pursuing a career of theater, Thomas was called by the Las Vegas Shakespeare Company to be their head makeup artist and designer for the production of Cinderella Enchanted in 2012. Thomas W, Lawson Jr. went and graduated from L Makeup Institute in December of 2013 in Las Vegas, NV where he refined his craft in beauty, special effects & airbrush makeup. In 2014, Thomas was asked through L Makeup Institute to help on a production of Shrek the Musical where Thomas was put in charge of designing and applying Baby Shrek's makeup nightly during the run. Thomas has done makeup for many special occasions including Bridal Parties, Bachelorette Parties, Movies and doing Halloween Special Effect Makeup. Thomas went to Expertise Cosmetology Institute in Las Vegas, NV in 2020 to be an Esthetician, but due to the pandemic, the program was never finalized. Currently Thomas is updating his Makeup skills and is keeping track on the newest trends in the Makeup industry and Special Effect Creations.

Apping makeup
When it comes to applying makeup like a pro, there isn’t one concrete way to do it but there is a general order of application which will make things easy and more cohesive look. Below s a simple step of how makeup should be applied.
Prep your skin, face primers, foundation, concealer, blush, highlighter, eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara, eyelashes, brows, lips & setting spray.
With my help, I teach you and help with each and every step based on your skin type and sensitivity to products.

*Makeup/ Brush $65.00 - Airbrush foundation plus brush makeup $75.00 per face.
*Wedding Makeup (Bride only), Eye lash stripes are included for Bride-(Plus Travel if over 5 miles) $175.00 (1 1/2 hours plus $65.00 every 1/2 hour). $50.00 per 2 extra people in Bridal party needed. Extra help is $95.00 pers hour per person needed. (Ask about bridal party specials)
*Movie Makeup $175.00 (3 Hour Minimum) (plus $95 Per Hour to design and create - 3-hour minimum for small jobs-10 hours for large) Can do multiple people. Price does not include Special effect makeup-Extra charge of $55.00 per hour, plus makeup and supplies. 3-hour minimum for this SPX work (“Depends on project”). Extra help is $95 per person, per hour.
